Business Systems Analyst

Provides technical assistance in identifying, evaluating, and developing systems and procedures which are cost effective and meet user requirements. A strong technical background is important to this role to allow for participation in the technical direction of the solution

• Responsible for planning, conducting and directing the analysis of complex problems to be solved with automated systems
• Creates specifications for systems to meet business requirements
• Directs the translations of functions to be automated
• Designs details of automated systems
• May provide consultation to users in the areas of automated systems
• Structure information from many sources, identify true requirements and translate into documents, which will be used by different audiences (end users, customers, design and test) in language that is understandable to each
• Planning, conducting and directing the analysis of complex problems to be solved with automated systems
• Creates specifications for systems to meet business requirements
• Comprehends and translates functions to be automated
• May provide consultation to users in the areas of relevant systems
• Serve as trusted advisor to PM in all aspects of managing the project, providing technical counsel and true consulting services throughout project's lifecycle
• Assess multiple technical solutions to a business problem and suggest the optimum choice
• Insure that customer issues are addressed which may result in changes during and after a specific development cycle

Mandatory Skills/Experience:

• Minimum ten years Business System Analyst experience
• Knowledge of Software Development Projects
• Knowledge of Relational Database Systems
• Excellent communication (written & oral), interpersonal, and presentation skills
• Proven ability to work independently or on a team as required
• Ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks as well as changing priorities
• Capability to function in several different project roles simultaneously
• Related college degree or equivalent experience

Location: Rochester, NY

Must be currently, eligible to work in the United States
